Instead of going to sites like HN,Reddit, or some other link site, I've found that the most interesting pages I find come from just searching on whatever it is I'm working on that day. As I find links that I find interesting while poking around the internet, I update the entry for that day with all those links, and then have a script pull them all out and generate a page of links that you can find by click on the demo link.
Every time I update this website, the link list also gets updated with all the new links.
