I’m going to start posting CW posts now ( as opposed to MSCED ) . Creative Workshop is a book of ‘designer challenges’ Unlike MSCED, these ‘challenges’ will probably drag on for more than a day at a time; setting aside multiple hours for sub tasks on each item (brainstorm, rough, final…) Which is good, since I want to spend more time working on single projects which output a nicer final output; most of the stuff in #MSCED would have been in the rough stage, with CW it’ll hopefully make it into the ‘finished’ stage.
I’m not a fan of time management systems, but i’m going to give timeboxing a try; more of a way to force me not to rush a task; see how well that works out. ( See also : Pomodoro Technique )
